I have pondered about this a lot, and being a guard at a nightclub is not the thing for me, you have to be able to script well (typing stuff like "!pushbullet" really quick).

I was wondering If there are any good jobs out there besides selling stuff..And I can't sell for crap XD

Bottom Line: I need a job that does not take 10 days to get ready to do. I just want to earn 13 Linden or more an hour :/

There's actually a resident forum devoted to this topic (check it once a day):
Employment Ops & Help Wanted

You might also want to check in-world using Search button > Classifieds tab and use the search term "job" and you could also check Search > Places also using the search term "job"

However, when in need of Linden dollars the easiest thing to do is purchase them from the LindeX so you can get straight to the fun.

There are all sorts of jobs in SL.

Writers, DJ's, hosts, escorts (don't start the debate), dancers... just search classifieds, open ended and drop down tab set to employment.

well, the best job has got to be working with the sheep guys!

Talked a bit to Forseti Svarog today. He and his Electric Sheep CO. do work *starting* at $10k USD. But you must be professional and be ready to work with a real live, real life company in order to be on his team, I'd imagine! Presumably have the talent as well!

Good luck to the sheep in the audience!

Make a list of what you are able to do, what skills you can offer that are worth paying for, and put a classified in the Services forum.

You have to network to get $10,000 USD plus for a build, Sue.

I was interested in Forseti's services because I saw a sign saying that the Laguna Beach sim was built by the ELECTRIC SHEEP COMPANY group. It said the 2 or so that they chose to do the work did a great job. So, I clicked on an object to see which builders they were. And one turned out to be Forseti Svarog. Another I think is DNA Prototype. I think they might have both gotten this $10k+ USD work assignment through the ELECTRIC SHEEP COMPANY group. So while an add would have been helpful, it was their great networking skills that paid the real life rent:)

Just to clear up some misinformation in this thread as well, Forseti and DNA are employees of Electric Sheep Company. They did do the building work on the Laguna Beach sim, but the $10,000 amount being stated for payment for the work is incorrect (we, like most other businesses, do not disclose exact contract amounts between ourselves and our clients).

Hi Cory!

Well, Forseti was kind enough to apprise me that your STARTING rate to flesh out a sim is OVER $10,000 USD. He did state that the ESC did the work for that sim, as did a large sign on the site. So either Forseti and sign were incorrect about the ESC doing the sim OR Forseti was incorrect in the quote of $10k USD starting rate for doing work that the company has perhaps? Since the above post states that OVER 10k must have been a good paycheck for doing the sim in question, it's consistent with your starting rate quote and that you people did the work. If you did the work for less, that's a great thing! NOT a bad one!

BTW, if you have any suggestions about SL builders and how to fine one, contract and negotiate, please feel free to join a thread I'll be starting soon! Thankyou, Cory!

This ESC talk is getting really old.

But anyway I guess i`ll join in and comment on it. From my gatherics they do/have done work for "big" RL companies who can afford to pay 10K+, not only that but if you read their website you see it goes beyond just a build, they offer them with services.

They have some nice builds, but i see the same potential in some of the 'trendy' boutique shops around. Shrug
