A friend helped me buy skins and a shape for an av. Later I discovered I did not like the style of how the av now walks. So I have two questions: - is it the skins or the shape that controls this? - someone mentioned a walk activator - is one available for a normal guy's walk?
Thanks.

What you want is an AO (animation override.) That'll replace the default animations with new ones. Most animators, including yours truly, have AOs for sale.

I'm not an animator, but a trinket scripter. I have an AO that I offer for sale that has some real heavy duty options and features more animation overriders seem to miss. Something to do with an "impossible data structure." You can have multiple animations for any given default animation, up to the number the scripts memory will allow, and it can also be given "modes" so that you can use one animation overrider for different animation sets. A good feature for transforming avatars.
This AO is a functional AO that is full featured as I just described, but I must admit I am still working on it. New technology I just developed will make it work even faster. But if you're interested, I can give you one to try and you can see if you like it. ^.^
At this time, it doesn't come with any animations. However, I am considering changing that by using free animations that are readily available.

Some shoes also come with a built-in walk - at least women's shoes do. I don't know about men's shoes.

I recommend you try to search for "Devils Moon" Without the quotations.

Thanks for all your responses. The problem was with a hug animator that someone gave me that was actually a hug and walk animator. The same nice person who picked out the skins and shape for me diagnosed the problem. I told her I'm not wure whether to call her "mom" or "Dr. Frankenstein".

Are there any 'normal' female walks? Some swivel the hips so much that it looks silly.

From: Alexa Susanto Are there any 'normal' female walks? Some swivel the hips so much that it looks silly. Erg. "Sexy walk", yes. It might not be to your taste, but there is a nice Victorian AO I use. Fairly demure, but not exaggeratedly so. Also keeps your prim skirt angled so it doesn't sink into the chair when you sit down (flexi can still sag, of course). It's made by Kamileh Hauptmann.
