I am having a little trouble understanding the difference between land deeded to a group and land purchased for a group. Is there any difference?
I am maxed out on my tier level presently - I wanted to put the land in my Groups name to take advantage of the group tier bonus.
Is the group tier bonus available whether the land is deeded to the group and/or if the land is bought in the groups name?
Should I just deed all my land (and make contribution with deed) to my group? Or do I have to sell the land to myself and make the purchase for the Group? If its the later, can I do so without exceeding my tier?
Cheers,

There really isn't a difference. Deeding the land after purchase is a little trickier because you have to watch your autoreturn settings (there are many long, sad stories of people returning all the prims on a parcel during the process...) Here are some articles that explain further: http://secondlife.com/knowledgebase/article.php?id=147http://secondlife.com/knowledgebase/article.php?id=128http://secondlife.com/knowledgebase/article.php?id=130

yeah the only difference is how you come across it. A) land bought and then deeded to land later taking the tier with it. or b) tier donated to the group and the BUYING it for the group.
