Because of this I can't camp, I lost 1000L is a Hold Em' Tourney (owner was sick of my constant logouts).
HELP IS NEEDED!!!

Not sure if it will help any, but running full screen is far more stable for me that the other option. In additiion, switching to another program from SL tends to crash the viewer (on my puter anyway) so I try to avoid that as much as possible.

Already do that. Run in full screen, and crashes

Are you sure your PC meets the system requirements? PC's that can barely handle SL tend to crash a lot more often.

From: Davgor Edgeworth 512 MB RAM 2.39 GHz Raedon 9200 (128 MB) Basically you are running about the same PC as me... except I have more memory (1Gb) and I have fast Internet connection (20mb ADSL2). Add memory I would say... as said, it will change things for the better. Morwen.

An extra GB, bringing it up to 1.5GB, would be even better..
Are you sure your drivers and stuff are all up to date?

For my money, I'd invest in a larger graphics card. I had 1 128 MB card - upgrading to 512 MB worked wonders!

Radeons of that age are undistinguished performers, and are made by a wide variety of card builders, who buy the chips from ATi. Persistent crashing could well be:
a) bad RAM on the video card
b) out-of-date driver.
Update to a fairly good NVidia card - should be $50 or thereabouts. i run SL all day (some days!) on a 1.7Ghz Pentium 4 box with 700MB of RAM and an Nvidia 5200 series card, and never a crash.
