New wrinkle in pasword borkage?

I was one of the people who had to change my pasword in the recent debacle. I did it with no trouble so that part is fine.

Today I went to play on the Beta grid and login with the new pasword failed. Tried the old one and it works over there. Is this normal? Is there a way/need to change it over there too?

The Beta Grid from what I understand uses a "Snapshot" of the SL Main Grid DB, they seem to update this whenevery they feel like it, so any changes made in the Main Grid DB after that point are not reprisented in the Beta Grid.

use your old password....it worked for me.

I mean your old password didn’t get ME onto the beta grid. My old password, the one that I also had to change yesterday for no compelling reason other then….no no I wont rant…any way….try the one you had before you changed it…..the password that is.

One other thing….I was able to go back and change my new password (8 characters required) back to my old password (6 characters) with no problem…go figure.

when i was told to enter a new passwd, i entered my old passwd. so in effect i never changed my passwd.
im such a rebel!
