I'm trying to get streaming video from my TV to actually display a picture on my computer. The TV will display static pictures, but when "tuned" to a channel, all I get is the sound, no picture. I suspect it has something to do with Quicktime settings, but I'm not positive. By itself Quicktime does great. Is/are there a particular Quicktime preferences setting(s) that need to be enabled for this to work correctly?
For what it's worth, I used to get video (although very bad/pixelated) when I was using a wireless connection, but since I've switched to Cable, no video...
Ideas? Suggestions?
Thanks, J
Dell Lattitude D620 Dual Core (using imagecfg to set affinity) 1GB RAM WinXP Pro (fully up to date except IE7) Quicktime player up to date (let me know if more info is needed)

I had the same issue with some of the pre-loaded previews on my Monster TV that I purchased. Unfortunately, I haven't a clue as to why some worked, and some didn't. If you purchased the TV (rather than using a script and board with "replace this texture" setting on your land), perhaps the creator can be of some assistance. While we're on the subject of media, however, do you happen to know of any URLs for royalty free movies? www.archive.org is the only one I've found & I got no response to that particular issue on a previous posting of mine. Good luck! Dea

That's the best one I've found so far, but I'm always on the look-out! I'll let you know if I run across any others!
The TV is a "FreeView" model, I believe distributed by Electric Sheep. It does work fine on another PC in the same RL house, on the same connection (epiphany - compare settings Jon).
Thanks, J

What I did on archive.org was go to the dialup link, right-click and go to properties. Then copied that http:// addy into the media space in about land on my property. There may be an easier way to do all this, but I'm not terribly techy. The links to royalty free viewing seem few and far between, but still on the look-out!
