Wanted to AR someone but name didn't show in 'search'

I was checking the owner of some griefing prim litter in Bethel vehicle sandbox and I got his profile up. While the single green prim was hardly worth an Abuse Report what I saw on the profile photo certainly was - a very gruesome photo of several dead dogs. I found this very offensive and so I searched for the resident's name but it was not found in 'search'. I double checked that I had the spelling and spacing correct.

The prim was left there today as it I know it wasn't there yesterday. The owner had only been in SL a few days. Does the fact that his name is not in 'search' mean he's already been banned?

Good chance that it is.

Boy, you weren't kidding about the photo.

Not to mention that they've joined a jewish group, so you see the caption "Jews of Second Life" right under the picture of skinned and dismembered carcasses. As anti-semitic imagery is pretty common in some griefing groups, I suspect this was a dedicated griefing account.

What's strange, though, is that the prim in question is straddling two parcels that both have 60-minute auto-return... meaning that it was rezzed or moved there within the last hour. If he IS banned, it must have just happened.

There is another possibility. Moving a phsical prim over parcel lines via various means, can have the following effects:
1) May turn the prim from Physical to Normal automatically.
2) May strip any or all scripts from the object.
3) May avoid auto-return from the parcel underneath the center of mass. (regual Return still works afaik)

I have duplicated this problem and submitted it to LL. In fact, there's still a prim in my home sim hanging in the air due to this bug and being over Linden Owned land. Hopefully LL corrects this bug soon.

I'm not saying this is what happened, but land users about the prim may want to get on Support Live Chat and ask a Linden to come in and remove it. The Requester will have to be one of the land owners over which part of the prim resides for LL to take action.

Dude, you are a true and good friend, and I love you like the brother that my mom claims she never had, but you are in fact acting like a flaming douche on white toast with a side order of dickknob salsa..maybe you should reconsider this course of action and we go find something else to do.

Ugh, I don't even want to think about griefers figuring out how to prevent auto-return!

It's six full sims of Linden-owned land -- the vehicle sandbox -- so there's no one else to complain about it.

I'll check back in a bit, and if it's still there I'll try to find a Linden to remove it. Not that the single prim itself is a problem, but anyone investigating it is going to be subjected to the horrible picture in the profile.

Update: All gone. :)

I wondered if the griefer had deliberately terminated their own account after leaving the prims. I didn't cotton on to the anti-semitic imagery, I was assuming that the griefer was Jewish! But it seems obvious now, and that makes the whole thing even worse.

I have found that really new accounts don't show up in the AR list. Just wait a few days and see if they show up.

I had the same thing with screamers left on my land. Griefer's name didn't show up in search. Wondered whether somneone was creating alts to grief and then deleting the accounts.
