Is there a male version of 'ruth'?

OK. I've seen quite a few male newbies walking around in a shape that is not the standard white shirted newbie, or the club guy, or any of the other newbie shapes. It's very short... shorter than a white shirt newbie, with thick legs and arms, and a fairly thick torso, almost flabby in appearance. I can't believe that people are customizing themselves to this shape. Is there a 'male ruth' for lack of a better term? Is anyone else seeing this?

I've seen it, but assumed it was a slider creation.

No, there's no male Ruth. Just like in RL, we all start as females....lol

Been seeing quite a lot of that myself recently and wondered what was going on, just either thought they had either been ruthed or chose that look. I know as a male I've ruthed a few times and when I've seen it I look like something crossed between a hobbit and an extra from Oliver.

Yes, the male Ruth is the same as the female Ruth.. Happened to me yesterday causing me to log out and back in. I looked really funny, short, with boobs, and my goatee.

He's called "Randy" and is basically ruth with facial hair.

There have been other threads about this phenomenon. Someone called it being "Oompa-Loompa'd."

Unlike Ruthing, the problem with it is that the avatar doesn't see it on their own screen, but everyone else sees it. That's why they are walking around proudly that way.

The first clue that this has happened to someone is that their necklace is way too huge. People in Loompa Land apparently don't mind if their jewelry doesn't fit properly.

Just as a matter of trivia, and along a similar topic line..

Does anyone know why our avatars are left handed?

(I'm 100% sure I do know why, just wondering if anyone else does)

Because most people use the right hand for weapons and other attachments. This allows the left hand to "point" towards an edited object.

How are our avatars left handed?

On topic again, I HAVE seen people walking around with giant necklaces floating around their necks... same smallish avatar. This isn't limited to just newbies too. I've seen a couple of well dressed avatars looking this way. I was always afraid that they simply chose to look the way they do and telling them would simply be insulting. Maybe now I will point it out or at least ask them a question about it.
