You can do better at newegg.com. Just type "usb headset microphone" into search, or leave out usb if you want to plug into your jacks. They have a usb one for 25.00 including shipping,

I just broke my Plantronics DSP-430 headset, I wonder if its work it. I managed to patch it back together with duck tape for now, but I guess I should get a new one eventually.

No kidding, I spent close to $100 CAD for my DSP-430 headset, with this deal I can pick up a higher model for not much more!

Check cnet.com as well...that model is being offered for $53 before shipping through some retailers (just about $60 US after shipping).

Wow. Nice headsets. I use the 2nd to the bottom of the page at work, and let me tell you, noise cancelling is nice when your cube neighbor is a loudmouth on the phone. Add to that that Plantronics is a reputable brand with pretty good customer service.
I've seen a few nice ones at Best Buy and Circuit City, but since I don't have a place on a sim that supports voice chat, I haven't found a need to purchase one yet. I would think that just about any headset used for TeamSpeak (I know, I know, this isn't EQ, but it's what I'm familar with) would work. |

For a much broader selection of wireless headsets, go to the complete gbh site, www.gbh.com .
Nuance lists some wireless headsets for use with it's Naturally Speaking voice to text software that should work for voice chat as well at http://support.nuance.com/compatibility/default.asp google product search will produce a list: http://www.google.com/products?q=wireless+voice+headset&btnG=Search&hl=en&show=li _____________________

Question: When we get voice, and I'm standing there with no microphone in a parcel that is voice-enabled, and people are talking, will I still be able to hear the talking through my speakers? Or will I need a headset to hear it?

Or will I need a headset to hear it? coco I think you would hear it? Could try the Beta Grid & find out. But I'm thinking, yes you will. Would be dumb to do otherwise. Not everyone will be able to talk so it makes sense to me. Making Sense to LL is another story ![]() I was on the Voice Grid the other day, my mic wasn't working (I just built a new system that doesnt let voice work thru the jacks on my speakers), I could HEAR people talking- just couldnt talk back. |
