I joined about a month ago and I am not sure where else to ask for support with this that will be responded too or even given help with this issue.
I keep getting this pop up for version 1.1236 it for Mac OS, I don't use mac.
Couple times I accidentally clicked it got error messages, every thing crashed.
Now we are getting new update and I am worried same thing going to happen and not sure how to update, yet not get that annoying 1.1236 version bothering me for eternity.
Or what to do if I can't update for whatever reason.
Can anyone advise me what to do?

Can anyone advise me what to do? When the update comes out, download and install Second Life again in the same way that you did when you first started. All of your objects, etc., are on the server so you can do this without losing anything. |

To add to this, I beleive Yumi means to completely uninstall SL and DL all over from scratch again. The DL is no bigger than the normal update anyway. The worst thing about it is you have to listen to all those newbie popups again explain how to sit, and telling you how to walk again lol

Actually, you don't necessarily need to uninstall SL. first I understand the original poster as saying that the auto updater wasn't working, and downloading a completely new install will have the same effect (in fact the auto updater downloads the same thing) |

Yes Yummi that was what I was talking about and was wondering about. I am concerned the same issue will happen again with the new update. Or perhaps the errors was due to its for Mac only. We will see when the game is back online if I can even update the new update without uninstalling and reinstalling.
The Mac OS update pop up has been annoying me though and I saw option to turn off these features but I was concerned it would interferr with get updates in the future that are essential or importatnt to have.
