Copybotter???

Im practicaly new into the copybot subject but recently I joined a group that sent us a thing called Cryoban messenger to detect the Cryo users and never used until a few days ago, also Im using the emerald viewer and there is another option to have a detector. I never detected anything and actually I never knew how exactly those things works (Im new into that) but today I was doing a hunt and suddenly this thing started to appear to me many times [23:58] Cryo Detector Messenger (worn): Cyro Ripper Name Zac Latour
Message Nink Spires ... Of course I was like whats going on? because it appeared lot of times but the only name that was changing was the message name ... instead of my name appeared the name of the other ppl in the Sim but always that Cyro Ripper Name Zac Latour stuff...

I got freaked out because I seriously though someone was copybotting and maybe Im not wrong. A few mins later before that I decided to return to my home and suddenly this guy send me an Im telling me that a message like this appeared to him : Nink Spires is joining your presence , or something like that. Cannot remember. So the cryoban detector warns the cryo life users??? I wanted to reported this guy but actually i dont know how this cryo detector works so I dont want to make a false report, I want to be 100% sure that messages that appeard to me were warning me that this guy was the one who was using the copybot program. Please if someone can explain me this better? maybe I sound dumb but Im like in shock.. i want to know if that message is that the one who appears when a copybotter is thiefing or what the hell happened? ... I saved the whole messages that appeared at that time and also saved the im that this guy sent to me arguing he wasnt using or cryo life. So im a little confused.. pleasee someone??

Cryo Detector will detect a SL Viewer used for copy bot purposes yes. If Deeded to your land it will warn you and kick and ban them and if you own the sim it will teleport them out.
I use one on my land and Have a very busy sim. I was shocked at how many were using it.. But the amount has slowed way down since they get nabbed when they teleport in now days..
No Need to panic. If you feel inclined to report it as abuse then do so and Linden Labs can investigate the resident. Cryolife is a banned Viewer but not blocked from entering SL.
But there are many variations and new copybots popping up all the time. Cryoban only detects one type. So really you are not fully protected

If the message popped up, then he was using it.

Send all the data to the Lindens in a support ticket and AR - doing the rest of us all a BIG favor.

If on the 0.01% chance your detector was wrong, LL's will know from the logs anyway.

You're kinda dealing with the guy who gets caught with drugs in his pants and tries to argue to the cop that those weren't his pants...
- Obvious is obvious, but a crook will try anyway.

Oddly my detectors have never found anyone. But I keep hearing other people catch people.
