Chatterbox help (maybe)

Hey, since this is "Resident Answers" here's an Answer from a Resident!

Thanks to Darian Caldwell's inspiration in another thread I took a good crack at fixing some of the WORST of the chatterbox externally by modding the XUI files.

If you usse your IM window at the top or bottom and have it wide and short, this hack might help you regain some sanity.

It lets you shrink the chatterbox vertically and rearranges the controls on the friends list to allow it to remain usable.

There is a screen shot there and a zip file with two files to replace in your second life install folder (web page has instructions for where), feel free to use the mod if you thinkit'll help you...

This was a quick hack job, if ther are imrovements I'l update the site...

I updated my fix a little, new IMs would resize the window somtimes so made their min size smaller too.

Also fixed the "nearme" title from "IM/Friends" to just "Friends"...

New files are in the same place...

Nice work. Glad you were motivated to clean up my hack, I have a notoriously short attention span.

My thanks to both of you - I like having my chat history in the top left and IMs in the top right, and I like them both short and wide. Using your xml modifications I've been able to get things back to the way I like them.
