My company is getting interested in SL, to the point where they're thinking about buying an island. The price is not a problem, but they asked me (as the local SL resident :) whether it is possible to pay the monthly island fees for a year in advance. I've looked all over the web site and can't seem to find any information.

Can anyone confirm whether it's possible to pay the initial island cost, plus a year's worth of fees, all in one go?

Many tia

Yes, You would increase your account credit and SL would take from there. However if you order Lindens from SL, it too would come from that credit unless you added more credit to your account.

On a second thought, islands are different. So I could be wrong.

It's the same for island owners. LL will try to withdraw both purchase price and tier fees from the account balance, only if the balance is insufficient they'll charge cc or paypal.
