I set up a new mall and have the Hippo system up and running in it. Can someone tell me how I can give my renters permission to build within their rental boxes?

The malls I rent space in have a group you need to be invited to in order to build within your rented stall.. I assume the land is deeded to that group and set to allow only group members to build/rezz
Hope that helps

you need to create a group for people to join. for the group to stay active it need 3 ppl in it (alts will suffice). then look at the groups permissions for 'member'. adjust as needed. then go to your 'about land' window and set it to respect this group as people that can build and such. once you get the group set up its common sense stuff that will become clear to you.
edit: the land does not need to be deeded to the group, setting it to the group is sufficient.

If you don't want to create a group you can check the box in "land options" allowing anyone to create on your land.

You do want to establish a group. Invite your renters in as Members. Also, in About Land - Objects - Set Auto Return to 5 or 10 minutes. That allows your customers to rez boxes (for those purchases that come in boxes) and extract the Contents. At the same time it saves you having to check the Object list or walk your mall constantly to return stray prims and less pleasant objects that griefers like to leave for you.

Didn't know about the set versus deed. *Files that one away* Groups only need 2 active now to stay live. Unless they changed that with this update (along with the many many other unintentional "additional features" lol)
