Is there anywhere that I can read up about the full use and ability of the camera function?

At the moment I only know how to do ALt and mouse and Alt Gr and mouse..... also I can only pan a short distance out, so for instance if I am in a shop and I wanted to look at the other side of it I can only zoom in to a certain distance and then I have to walk further over and pan again...

Obviously I am not using it correctly and so I wondered if I can read up on it anywhere?

There was this very good tutorial Torley Linden made about the use of the camera (and some other neat tricks). I must have it at home somewhere, I will look it up for you.

Hi BB! <wave>
Alt/Ctrl/mouse is another option. I'm not aware of what Alt Gr/mouse does.
I gather in the Client Menu if enabled (Alt/Ctrl/D?) there is a 'disable camera restraints'? Yet another option I've not actually tried out yet.
Happy exploring :)

Hi Bil :)

*Big wave and smile*

The Alt and mouse just changes the close in and out for me and the Alt Gr spins the view....but that is all I know how to do - lol

Do you use a standard US keyboard, BB?

disabling camera constraints just means you can zoom all over the place without having to personally move.....

..what you see though is kinda governed by your draw distance, so if you zoom way off into the distance, you'll start to see no objects if you only have a low draw ...

Use the 'Flycam', its great with a joystick, or better with a Gamepad.. anyone who uses flight simulators will find it a wheeze.

Oh, you will find Flycam in the Client menu.

Here and here are two videos from Torley dealing with the camera controls, among other things.
