Mature content on PG sim

Hi,

I realise that what is "mature" is a matter of taste but are there guidelines or rules about what is acceptable in an PG sim - say a shop selling adult materials? If so is there anyone who enforces these rules?

From the Community Standards ..

Indecency
Second Life is an adult community, but Mature material is not necessarily appropriate in all areas (see Global Standards below). Content, communication, or behavior which involves intense language or expletives, nudity or sexual content, the depiction of sex or violence, or anything else broadly offensive must be contained within private land in areas rated Mature (M). Names of Residents, objects, places and groups are broadly viewable in Second Life directories and on the Second Life website, and must adhere to PG guidelines.

While its not very Precise in my opinion thats what weve got.

Enforcement is via ARs to the Lindens by people who see what they feel is innaprioriate.

The complainers may or may not have read the standard ive pasted above.

In general, I think a good rule of thumb is, if you wouldn't do it/show it on a public street where you live or in front of your mom, you probably shouldn't do it in a PG area in SL.

If you are unsure, feel free to describe it here and let the readers give you some ideas. Maybe with links to an in-world location. Better not to include potentially mature pictures here.

For example, a friend of mine is selling bondage furniture. While the objects themselves are 100% decent and would not raise an eyebrow in a church, the poses included there make them kind of "mature". So to be on the safe side she is selling them mature only.

Thanks for this information. The place I'm talking about has adult poses and adult pictures in the shop - (definitely wouldn't be approriate in a church :-) )

It would however break the sexual and or nudity part of the Community Standard on Indecency
