I came in today and a very expensive table along with dances within are gone. I checked my inventory but I know I didn't take or delete the items in question. No one has permission to move, delete, or take items on my land. Has anyone else had this problem and what should I do?
Thanks.

If you just set the table out today, it is probably gone LL did a Rolling Restart to correct problems and that ~may~ rollback the sim a few mintues or more. Unfortunately, LL will not replace such. You can try clearing your cache and continuing to check your Lost&Found folder. You may also try looking at co-ordinants 0,0,0 in the sim you had the table in. That location tends to be a Bermuda Triangle of SL and things can wind up there of their own violation (or the violation of the little purple gremlins with pink floral print spots. One or the other.) Best of luck and hope it turns up. ~Jessy

If it did end up at 0,0,0 and it is no-copy, it is likely gone forever. You can see it until the next sim restart, but it's just a phantom that can't be brought back to life. The other possibility has to do with the ESC search engine. This automatically scans all items set for sale and lists them on their web site, allowing other residents to teleport there and buy the item. Not a problem if you INTENDED to sell the item, but it turns out a lot of people had no-copy items that we unintentionally set for sale. Check your transaction records since you last saw the table and see if anything looks like someone bought your table. Trying to get it back from them? Well, hopefully they are a nice person who will understand your situation. Otherwise you are just out of luck, and will have to buy another one.

I placed the item over a week ago. I checked my sale logs and found nothing. This table is costing me about 2000L.... on top of an additional 1000L I lost on a shotty vendor recently.

this has happened before to other people. Check your lost and found folder. Look at the things that looks like a box. If you see one that looks like its tied or has more than one box pull it out. It may have been returned with other items and packed together. Good Luck

Someone else told me yesterday, who had suffered the same plight (me included) that they got their stuff back in their inventory after deleting and reinstalling SL over 10 times. Might just be a coincedence.. and for the sake of a couple of real $'s, I have better things to do, but it might... just work.

I have heard that a full uninstallation and installation can help return lost items as well. Something about rebuilding your inventory from scratch from the asset servers with a fresh instalation. Worth a try and will only take 5 mns

If the item was lost because of a roll back, it wont come back even if you uninstall I lost 12 slingo machines on one, nobody could help me, one of the Lindens was kind enough to come and see, even asked the creator to replace them (he didnt), the machines had vanished for good.
So, write this on your loses and move on, I know how you feel exactly and I am very sorry this keeps happening, but sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.

From: Sharliss Writer My money vanished today It shows up on the transaction history via the website but not in the game Does it say loading? Or an actual L$ 0? The balance at http://secondlife.com/account/ tends to be the most accurate. A few relogs into a quiet, empty sim might help nudge it over in world, or alternatively, ask someone to pay you L$1.
