ok ...so the blue fog is fixed and no thanks to SL even though I paif for the annual membership...but many great thanks to each of you...

Now the settings on my preferences are correct for the viewing of hime entertainmanet in SL and I have the latest copy of the Quick time viewer installed on the puter... other folks tat visit the house say they can see the tv and it owrks for them but I cant see anything but a black screen with the entertainment logo and that is all.

The Quicktime seems to work just fine it just doesnt seem to want to translate over into sl... I have talked it through with the shop owner where I bought the thing and he cant figure it out either. SInce the home I have in SL is given to me as a perk for the job I do it is basically like a rental property. and the reciever has been deeded over to the owner of the land properly as well and she is one of the folks who says she can see the tv working...

I know all the preferences are set properly on the SL screens and I know Quick time is in so there must be something in my puter settings that is stopping me...any suggestions???
The owner of the home entertainment shop where I bought the unti offered his professional opinion in two words..... "is strange"

chuckles shaking head ...HHEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

do you have the movie/video button down on the bottom by the music button?
if not then you need to go into preferences and allow streaming video

then something is wrong between your puter and sl
if you checked the enable streaming video then it puts up the movie tab any time you are in an area where there is a stream address loaded into the media area of the about land

Try jiggling the handle on the bandwidth slider.
