Changes to "My Account" page?

Is this new or have I just missed it before? I just went to look at my account, and a section at the bottom came up with a rotating SL icon, then after about 10 or 15 seconds changed to read (I obscured the card type, it did show the correct info for me though):
From: someone
Payment Information
Payment Type: Credit Card
Card Type: ******
Status: OK: Your account appears valid in our systems and according to our payment processor.


I've never noticed the payment stuff in its own section, or the Status line before - but admittedly I don't usually look for that kind of thing.

I came here for the same question sort of, my account information never shows up. All I get is "Loading payment information... Please wait" Been waiting about 5 minutes now...

I've noticed the same thing. It also never loads for me and infact all web functions that depend on who I am other than the my account page never load. Looks like another feature that screws up things that were working. LL really needs to do at least some QC when they change something.

Hmm I just looked again, I guess I'm lucky that mine comes up within a few seconds? I looked at the html source code and that info is handled by a javascript function so if it's not coming up then maybe it is a problem with the javascript.

Amusingly, I found this comment a few lines below the payment information area:

It's a warning not to leave your crayons lying within reach of Jeff Linden. Frankly, LL should have put that in a blog post, rather than tucked away where barely anyone will see it. There could be catastrophic crayon-specific inventory loss among people who don't see the warning.

I get a rotating SL hand and 'loading payment information' - then... nothing. Blank payment information.

Still, the entire billing/transaction/my account thing has been royally screwed ever since LL decided to change the payment processing from in house to an outsourced system (Global Pay I believe).

Rather worrying that whoever does the web design (crayon eater or not) can't seem to get LL's pages to work with a third party processor's APIs - this is since the week before the Easter break BTW.

That is a new change that just showed up recently as I routinely check that page to find out when my credit process has cleared and only saw it today when it said my data wasn't valid and I had to resubmit the CC data.

It disappeared a few hours later. My account info page is as usual now. I have payment info on file with a debit card. My wife has a premium account with paypal info, yet her account has shown a negative balance all day for the monthly payment for her premium account. Nothing is wrong with Paypal, the funds are there to cover the payment, SL is not able to capitalize on it. They, or the people handling the billing now, did something different. More tomorrow...

It's kind of Ironic, Sue, they were using your rotating icon, maybe you should sue them for infringement ;)
