Is there a way to communicate with residents at all by accessing the webpage?
I cannot dowload secondlife at work, but there are times when i have some downtime and want to send a quick message to my friends who are online.

At this time, no. There is stuff in the works as well, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a 3rd party create an open source program that would aloow you to just log in and chat.

Right now if someone IMs you, you can respond to the email, but the communication has to be initiated inworld.

Hi Valeria, search on a program called Sleek. This I gather allows you to IM friends who are in-world.
There was a thread yesterday had the link to it, I'll have a look.

OMG way too Kewl. Do I need to download all three downloads from Sleek to make this work.

Almost looks like I can play inworld without really being there. Has anyone done this yet?
If this is real it wouldn't be such a shock to my addicted rl body system when I have to be OW.
