Hi, I've just sold land that was deeded to a group I own. How do I extract the funds from the group to my own personal account balance?

Proceeds from land sales are automatically split amongst all group members whose status includes the box "pay group liabilities and receive distributions". This always includes group owners, but may include members or officers, depending on how the group was set up.

I see in the "land and $L" tab on the group that it has been apportioned to me, but i havent actually received any to my personal $L balance. Will it move automatically or will it stay there forever unless I decide to buy more land?

SL divides up the group money once a day, usually. I've found the time of day varies wildly, but recently it's been in the afternoon/early evening GMT.

The money on the "land and L$" tab is the full group money - not your portion of it. It's only fully yours if you are the only one who 'pays group liabilites & receives group dividends'

Hope this helps :o)

It can take several days for the money to be credited into your account, so just be patient for now. It'll show up soon.

group accounting broken?
07-23-2007 18:14
What luck. with no live help available I am in the same senario. Sold some group deeded land a few days ago and was wondering when I would see the lindens. I am a bit puzzled. I am the only member of the group that has "Pay group liabilities and recieve group dividends" checked. Under the "land & $" it showes the total mount of the land sale but it is divided up by the number of group members or showing their individual shares...
Is this something that is broken or is it something that linden labs just failed to correct in their accounting?

it will show it divided but as long as you are the only one with the accounting checked, you will be the only one to get it

update

Another morning went by and no payment. my "land and L$" tab changed and showed a debit and a credit equaling to zero, but still no funds sent to me or any member of my group.

I filed a trouble ticket on the website and within a few hours the money appeared in my account and I received an e-mail from linden labs. subject:"Second Life: Process Group Land Sale Error". The contents of the e-mail explained they had corrected the error and my account had been credited. Sort of makes me wonder about the folks who do a lot of group land sales....

group land sales take a day to post to your account.

Mine recently took three or more days to post, but it did get there. Also, I think they just put up a blog post about this (that they know it is working slowly).
