The cornfields have been cut, and the farms redeveloped.

No actually the cornfield is/was thought to have been erased from all memory. However there have been reports of collective consensual hallucinations of it's continued existence. Rebel factions of historians theorize that some version of this mythical cornfield continues to persist perhaps even in a parallel continuum. While others say that when it was shut down, there were virtual spirits trapped in a metavirtual version of the cornfield whose inhabitants not only have just one channel on the television but also no hope of ever being released. Ah...but those are just scary fairy tales, now be good boys and girls and return to your regularly scheduled programming.

But I'll also sell Hamster Powered PC's so it all works out Packets from your ethernet card will be transmitted by ants. Expect a bit of lag. No more than usual.

There is no standard protocol for IP transmission by ants. I strongly recommend that you use the Avian Carrier protocol instead. http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc2549.html

The last time I got a detention, it's because I wasn't in my seat when the bell rang, in wood shop class. That's okay though. I recall where I was, and with whom, and I must say it was quite worth it. grin

There is a public version of sorts in the Longfellow sim. It does not appear to be as detailed as the "real thing," judging from photos. I've always wanted to see the place. I've just not wanted to have to be there. Mari
