Griefers! Help!!

Someone named Franck Runo Is using some form of notecard popup giver on myself and friends using my land it continually spams with the blue popup notification that usually pops up on the top right of the screen and continues to do so until their pc or second life crashes ive tried muting the object and even the person(s) using it but it does not seem to work

is their any way i can get around muting it by disabling the popups via the settings or otherwise?

ive reported the offenders but in the meantime im stuck

please help this is very annoying and rude

I think there's a new setting for that, check the last update notes?

if you know what the object is try muting it. there is another way to handle this sort of thing, but i cant think of it at the moment. andcheck the knowledge base, i think there is something there as well.

Naming names on the forums is a violation, and can get you banned, you might want to Edit your post to remove the Names before someone complains.

If it's your land, set auto return to 1, then turn off build - the notecard giver will return to his inventory and he cannot replace it. Sorted.

Simply muting the owner of the offending prim will work as well.

And don't forget to have everyone involved file an abuse report.

Did you mute the actual owner of the prim or just people you thought were involved?

Right-click on it, edit and mute the owner (from their profile would be easiest to avoid typos).

If the prim is your own land you should be able to return, if the prim is on a neighboring parcel, try and leave an IM with the land owner there. If the prim is located on a private sim, contact the estate owner as well. You'll get the location of it each time it offers inventory.

(Edited to add that you could turn on "Automatically Accept" and turn off "Automatically View after Accepting" in Preference / Popup tab which wouldn't stop it from filling up your inventory - and chat history - but should give you some relief at least if LL managed to break mute yet again)

Aw Gee, this is not just a difference of opinion among Residents, this is a real exploitive scumbag who is bad for SL, and she is doing everyone a service by naming the worthless son of a bitch. I say, name the prick, and let LL do something about it - let's see if they can support blocking naming someone like this in the for4ums without banning him from SL, hhmm?

Har, the way I see it Angel was giving good advice. There are ways to work around something like this w/o naming names. Naming names has been a nono since day one. The OP got some good advice from many posters in the thread, why get it closed?

True, but if the named want's to come forth & complain, let them speak for themself, but he's probably only a griefers alt anyway, unless he's done this accidently as some sort of Lindened stuffup.
