Today I had 2 avatars on my island who had exactly the same name. One of the avvies is was created in April and someone I sort of know. The second was created today. The second avatar was nearly but not quite a copy of the first one - the body shape and some attachments were the same while others were different.
Ghost, you say? Lag you say? I don't think so. I could talk to both of them in real time at the same time -- so one wasn't a ghost, though it did sort of say the same thing over and over again, without making much sense. I had 2 im windows open, one for each. The second avvie did not reply by ims.
I added them to the ban list, and only one was banned. I opened the profile on the second one, and copied its name, and was able to add it to the ban list, and it too was banned. Then there were two entries on the ban list, with the same name.
Wondering if others have seen this, and if perhaps it is a new form of shenanigans like copybot, where it is possible to create a copy of an avatar including its name?

An uppercase i ( I ) for an l ? They both look the same in the IM and Chat windows. It is a common dodge to get around naming rules.

Copy both names from their profiles, paste them into a text editor that lets you selet the font, display them in a serif font, and you may see a difference in the spelling that is hard or impossible to see in a sans-serif font.
