I've seen a lot of sleazy (no offense meant!) Second Life photos -- mostly of female av's dressed in clothing that'd be torture to wear in RL!

just curious, does anyone know of any good classy photos -- especially one that's less on the sex, but more on the romance (or less-sleazy atmosphere)?

Have you considered taking such photos yourself?

Ina,

There's a little meadow in Svarga that is absolutely gorgeous....filled with wildflowers. Makes an excellent setting for photos. Also, Lost Gardens of Apollo is nice.

IM me in world sometime...be happy to provide landmarks.

Oooooo.......another good one.......there's a little place in Wales........a gazebo......flowering vines on a garden trellis, etc. I took some photos of a friend there in her Maid of Honor gown before a wedding. Very lovely spot!

You could also check out the snapshots on Snapzilla. They have great "editors' choice" shots that demonstrate the beauty that is a well taken SL snapshot.

Since when has being torture to wear ever stopped a woman from wearing it in RL?

Open up search.... go to places... look up words as castle, garden, romance.... complete the list yourself. You will easily be capable to filter out those places you don't want. In doubt TP in, take a look around... not good, TP out.

Concerning clothes, I as RL business woman have to dress up every day. I don't consider that torture. It comes with the job and I like good looking clothes. But there are times I wished I could wear some of the sets I have in my SL inventory at work.

Concerning the content of pictures... It is too easy to say that a bit sexy cannot be romantic... or that romantic means no "sexy/revealing" clothers. The model, the "background", the mood and serveral other things lead to the end result. It is a "game" between model and photographer.

Let your face say "Romance"

Don't worry about the surroundings. Get up close and personal to your face when you take that picture. What people are looking for in your profile picture is you. Now consider how tiny that profile image is. You want your face to fill at least 50% of the frame. Find a pose script that gives your face its best appearance and zoom in tight. If you have Photoshop or another editing program, try cropping the image very tight. If I'm online tonight, give me a holler and I'll take a shot or two and show you what I mean.

Bingo, what Rocky says.

We want to see your face. Well, at least one of them, anyways.

Start by Typing "Water" into the Place Search screen, and a Huge Number of Beaches will present themselves, then go from there with Other Key words selected according to your personal tastes as to what does, or does not constitute "Sleazy"

I agree with you when it comes down to profile pictures. But the OP didn't mention that it was for a profile... Maybe she wants a picture where surroundigs are important.

Oh.... *forgets she is a photographer*

Ina, I often help people when they are looking for pictures.

I make pictures in my studio as well on nice places I know. I use any kind of type of clothes (mostly I go for what the model prefers).

I don't edit my pictures in Photoshop or alike. I like to use SL resources only. This is just my style. I have seen others seen do great things in Photoshop, I just don't do it.

As it is nothing more then a hobby for me, I do it all for free... but at the same time I also almost never pay models. All pictures are shared (only the real bad ones I delete ^^). Only thing I ask that I am allowed to use the pictures I really like myself (for my webpage or for the galary that I am building).

If you are interested let me know. I am sure we can work out some romantic pictures.

That is what I do too. Only stuff I've done to any of my piccies is add text to the profile pictures. Other than that, I jes try to find a good location to shoot an go from there. Half the fun is finding the right environment.

And like someone else said - ya, Snapzilla: http://www.sluniverse.com/pics/ Be sure to especially check out Phinn Boffin's shots for some very romantic shots.

A good spot for classy snapshots is the fancy casino that's opening up in the sim next door to me. I don't think it's really open yet, but there are already elegant rooms of velvet couches and fancy paintings you can go in. The lady building it is always wearing a fine red gown, which tells you a lot about what she has in mind for the place.

Yes, there are many SL pictures around... as there are in RL. And still yet, every picture is different... this goes for SL and RL. The thoughts, ideas and feeling behind them count :).

Heres a shot on my SLprofiles page of my classy friend Velvet. I make my own backdrops sometimes like this one or take folks to places like Svarga or the Rain Forrest or anywhere there is a waterfall. :-)
