I've been playing for a good year now and for some reason i have never been able to figure this out. Does anyone know if there is a way to put hyperlinks in notecards that lead to websites outside of the game? answers would be appreciated

It is easily done. Unless you mean clickable URLs, which appear to be a feature of the next major release. As to those clicable URLs working from notecards, I haven`t heard, yet.

Yes, you need to use a script that calls the llLoadURL() function. There is a very simple example script on this page:

http://www.lslwiki.com/lslwiki/wakka.php?wakka=llLoadURL

The script pops up a dialog box in the top-right corner, and the user clicks in the box to go to the URL.

Nope, no clickable weblinks in notecards. You can type a link but the person would have to copy/paste into a browser. You could also create a prim that gives a notecard and is also a URL giver.

The Elbow Room uses a Chat activated Link to WWW.Weasel.Net, the request Page for the Music URL stream for the Club, I don't see why Other Websites cannot be brought up in the same Fashion, but this does not open a window In Game, it Opens the Web browser on your computer, and brings the page up there.
I thought though, that Help Island DID have some kind of Web Linked computer screens on the Island that went to Specific pages. I may be remembering those wrongly though.

Hmmm..... In my "picks" I have entry with a link to my Flickr-page with some examples of pictures we (my friend and I) made in SL. I would love to have it "clickable", but whatever I tried.. it didn't work.
