What is the trigger for typing statements in chat? I see these come up where people are making comments but it is not proceeded by a name followed by a colon.

If you mean the "actions" which people type in third-person, I recall it's done IRC-style so you start your chat line with "/me". "/me yawns, stretches and curls up in the corner", type of thing (I'm not able to get in-world right now to double-check, but I'm fairly sure I'm right)

All are correct. When I'm chatting in world, I actually tend to use /me more often than just simple chat. It adds personality to what I say that wouldn't be there with cold text. /me smiles and waves. "Hello! How are you today?" is better than Hello! How are you today? and FAR better than hlo how r u 2day -edit- Accidentaly put punctuation in my txtspk.

Thank You So Much

Thanks for the explanation! The help I get from people is why I love SL, and why I try to pass it on (pay it forward SL style.) And I agree, I like full sentences, as it adds more personality. Thanks again all.
