Hi all,
I read all the Knowledge bases and whatnot but saw no mention of my problem. The only mention of something similar I saw involved objects being returned by land owners. That is not my problem.
Here is what happens: I purchase something from a vendor at a shop. Money is deducted from my total and I receive the item in my inventory. I teleport home. The item in my inventory disappears. No amount of searching or sorting finds it. It is gone.
I went back to the store (Here Comes Trouble) and bought a demo item for $L1. It appeared in my inventory. I could not put it on however, because the item could not be rezzed. I TPed home. The item in the inventory is gone.
Sounds like a problem with the asset server. I have tried relogging, emptying cache, using a different computer doesnt matter, the items are gone. I have checked my Account History and the I was charged for the items.

It is a problem with the asset server, but not in the way you'd think. It's more like your client didn't tell it that you had made the purchase, so it didn't move to your part of the asset server. *sigh* It happens waaaayyyy too often, fortunately in my case it was demos and not the item I was going to purchase!
You have my sympathy, but in this case, if it's a demo, I can't see the vendor wanting to replace it. Most vendors are willing to send on a new copy of the item, especially those that are no transfer.
*snickers* Although I've had those demos pop a couple of days after I'd forgotten about them!

Well, at first, I purchased SEVERAL items, expecting things to work.
When i got home and the stuff was missing, I was pissed off. That's when i went back and tried again with Demo items
All day long, no matter what, when I buy something from this this store location (Here COmes Trouble) this same problem happens.
Nothing purchased there right now is wearable, copyable, rezzable, and it disappears if you leave.

I would say it has mostly to do with 42 K concurrent users online. It may or may not show up in a day or two.......but don't hold up too much hope for that. Anything over about 25 K online is chancey at best..........I keep my transactions limited when over that number for that very reason.

Yeah, contact the creator and see if they'll send on a copy of the items that you lost to the procedure. As I said, most are really nice and will send on a copy of the item, because we've all had it happen to us! *makes note to self to do a test rezz in a shop and if it fails, don't buy.* As Peggy said, *blinks* 42K?! No wonder Tuber is having problems!
