Hi guys.

I hate to dreg Copybot up again, but I've been having some major issues with a spammy script near my parcel of land, and figured I'd seek some advice, because it's driving me *nuts*!

I don't know the source of the script, so as a result, I don't know who put it out... but I have noticed that the spam shows up at any time someone sits on a prim. THe spam shows up every minute or so, and shows up anywhere in the sim provided an AV is sitting.

I have already filed an AR, and realize I can always mute the message... but given that my parcel of land is a place of business, I would rather not subject my guests to this spam.

Any suggestions? What do you think would be causing this sim-wide?

Check out that thread. Make sure to read it all the way through before implementing any of the scripts posted.

(a few of them are jokes)

Yeah those things totally suck. I threatened my landlord that if he didn't get them cleaned up I would be moving out; they evaporated soon after. Possibly not the best thing to do but it was very satisfying... I should probably apologize :o

Take a look at the thread Winter mentions.

I hook up my client to SLProxy and Analyst, watch for ImprovedInstantMessage, find the key of the object, use LSL to look up the owner's name, and AR them.
Quite technical, but it works for me.
