This reminds me. I have wondered if there could be a catch phrase by which SL folks could recognize each other in real. Maybe that's it.

But that would really only be for the forumites. I suppose a secret handshake would be a little over the top. And how does one drop "an attachment is pending for that point" into casual conversation?

Rez, TP, sim, AO, etc are all things in world people would recognize in RL, not just forum visitors, but all residents would. If two people were talking about SL next to me (in RL), I'd pick up on it pretty quick. "I TP'd to this sim and everything was rezzing really slowly." Would get my head turned pretty quickly, and I'd probably jump into the conversation and say "Did you teleport to another sim, or was the whole grid borked?" to let them know I knew what they were talking about :)
