Hiya=) , i just got a new AO and for some reason, everytime i move my mouse to the right my head moves to the right. Same thing with any direction, but basically none of my other AO's did this. Is there anyway i can shut this off?

I reckon it's the animation used. Some animations don't key in the head so it can move 'naturally'. I've made some like this. Most do key the head in so it will only move (or not) as part of the animation. Try swapping to another animation that does as you wish. However... I could be wrong.

If the AO doesn't have a high enough priority on head movement, or its animations don't include head movement, you get the default behavior - which is for the eyes to follow your cursor.

I have not tried this myself, but if your AO is based on Zhao II, it is possible to combine two animations using a comma between them, instead of the pipe symbol. I'll have to look a bit, but somewhere I found an animation that is designed just to keep the head still. If you can locate one (I'll look for mine tonight and see where I got it) and add it to your notecard, it will play at the same time the sit or stand is playing, keeping you head still while the mouse moves.

I'll have to wait until this evening, but I'll put up more info when I am at my home computer.

I used to like how when you pressed ALT and clicked somewhere, you would focus on that spot if you were in one of those loose animations or had your AO off. I found this particularly useful when focusing on someone's head while they talked to maintain "eye contact" this no longer works for some reason. My camera locks to the position but my head still moves about, sadly.

Wile holding down Ctrl and Alt, click on your avatar. This will focus the camera on yourself and stop your avatar's eyes (and head/neck) from following your mouse (and also from looking at whoever is talking).
You can use the Alt+Crtl+Click to orbit the camera around yourself (or anything really!) to get a better view of the scene. Also if you release one of the buttons (crtl or alt, I can't remember which) you can then zoom the camera in and out too. Very handy!

The animation is called "Fixed Head" and is made by Latif Khalifa.

similar to Fenix's trick, you can click focus on anything (if you do it on your own av, you face default fwd) to keep your head from moving (at least until you hit escape).
the "look at last chatter" feature will override that though, if you have it enabled (it's in the preferences page).
or just play an animation that locks the head.
