Unknow Gesture/Animation Took Control - Why & How?

Hello,

I logged-in to SL this morning. Within a few moments, I was performing an unknown gesture/animation that was most embarrassing. It lasted for several minutes. The "Stop Animations" control did not help.

My avatar never perform this action before, and I don't remember seeing anything like it in my inventory. Im concerned it might happen again--probably while on a sl date or something.

Any ideas on how this gesture/animation might have been "given" to me without my knowledge? And how it was activated? Most importantly, how do I rid myself of it?

Check your gestures folder and see which (if any) are active. They'll be bold if they are. Right click the gestures to bring up the activate, deactivate options. You may have to do it twice in either direction (active or inactive). That's happened to me, anyway.

Right click your avatar and "Remove > All attachments" This will make you bald and prim-attachment-less, but will also remove any offending items that may have triggered an animation.

I'll also send you something in-world that you rezz on the ground to stop animations. 9 times out of 10, it works more effectively for me than the Tools > Stop All.
