Does anyone know if there is a way to 'undo' the last thing you did? i.e. something like a "back" button? I was messing around trying to set up an aquarium yesterday and when I went to take one of the fish back to my inventory, I accidently removed half the walls and floor of my house!!! My own fault I know, as I was half asleep at the time, but the shock of standing in the open air woke me up pretty quick.
I was able to rebuild the section, as the area of house I'd removed went straight into "recent items" so was easily located. However, is there a simpler method to undo a stupid mistake like that for future reference?

Hmmm.... maybe CTRL-Z? I know this works for most Windows applications, but I never tried it in SL. Who knows . Also know that when you remove items they end in trashbasket and you can restore them from there. And items you most like don't want to move/remove you can lock down in the settings of that items... Prevents half houses from being picked up by accident . Morwen.

LOL, Sue
If I had a Linden for every time I've done that - I'd be richer than Anshe Chung.
Edit: Right after posting this I logged on and deleted my house - a skybox. I thought I was deleting a 1-prim box, LOL. There I was - 500 m up in the air standing on a carpet surrounded by my bits and bobs.

Morwen, just FYI removed items will only end up in your trashcan if you deleted them accidentally. If you used "take" on them accidentally, they go back to their original home in your inventory. And Sue is right, looking in recent items will help narrow down their location quickly.
Sue, don't feel bad. We've all been there and done that. Embarrassing but true. There is no easy way to undo it though. Rebuilding is the only option. But locking down will keep it from happening quite so easily.

Alt-Z works the most of the times when you are building but, I don't know why, NOT ALL the times. Some windows key combinations works in SL (Ctlr+C, Ctrl+X, Ctrl+V for example) but others combination don't (Shift+Delete works but Shift+Insert do not, so be carefull).
In adition, I think (not sure) that if you delete and object by selecting it for edition and pressing Delete, it won't end up in the Trashcan folder.

The building undo in SL is a little different than one in, say, notepad. Each object gets it's own undo stack. So if you create a prim, and move it around a few times, then create a new prim and move that around a few times, you can then select the first object and undo a move it made while the second object stays in the same place.

LOL, Sue I kept my head - fished it out of trash and it is now firmly locked. But I'm sure I'll do it again before too long.

From: Francesca Alva Right after posting this I logged on and deleted my house - a skybox. I thought I was deleting a 1-prim box, LOL. There I was - 500 m up in the air standing on a carpet surrounded by my bits and bobs. My house has no furnishings, yet, so when I do this I find myself 740m up with nothing to stand on, and the first move I make sends me plunging. I'm embarassed to say I've done this more than once
