One-leg-straight-out animation glitch?

There's this weird animation glitch that causes one leg to stick straight out to the side. Looks painful. It happens to people who are just standing there or walking by - no poseballs or sitting on stuff or anything like that required.

I've just noticed that in my home sim, this only happens in one particular spot - an area maybe 15x15m or so. It's been going on for months but never noticed before that it was just this one area.

Anybody else seen/noticed this? Is this a known issue?

I've noticed it as well. Usually I've found it to be because the ground isn't level there, and it's such a dramatic shift in height from one foot to the other that it causes the leg to pop up.

Actually funny if you catch a friend afk like that. Put a fire hydrant next to them and snap a pic or two.

ETA: The dramatic shift may or may not be visible to you, but it is to your avi's polygons.

It happens when there is a prim like a path or something on the ground, and one is standing on both. Dunno why.

Next time it happens, do what I do.

rez a soccer ball to attach to your foot. You'll look so cool.
