I've been searching for about two hours for a definitive yes or no to this question. If i buy an entire region/island from linden then divide it up into smaller lots (say 128x512sqm) and sell them all individually until they are all gone (meaning i own no land on that sim anymore), would i still have to pay the $295 per month and would i still have to transfer it over officially at the $100 cost? Or if after selling them all, would i just stopped being billed the $295? Sorry if this has been posted before and hopefully i made that clear enough!  |

You would have to pay the $295/month, because the sim would still be yours. At any time, you could kick off the people who "bought" the land, and reclaim it.
If it was a mainland sim, your tier would drop as you sold land, but you would not still be in control of that land.
AFAIK, the only thing you can do is sell it on as a whole sim.

AFAIK, the only thing you can do is sell it on as a whole sim. Slight clarification: On mainland, the amount of land you own would drop as you sell off parcels, and once your holdings drop below each threshold, you could lower your level of tier billing. But lowering your tier billing is something you have to do separately - it is not automatic.
