Just what part of SL was gambling banned from? I can't seem to find that place. The gambling places I have land marked are still full of various lingo games, and sploders. It looks like the only thing missing are the slots and blackjack tables. So only slots and blackjack was covered in the ban? Or are the owners of the land just daring to be banned and have their land confiscated? Can I put my bid in now for any of the land that is going to be confiscated?

Come on lindens pull the left one for a bit the right one is getting sore.

Unfortunately Linden Labs has not specified exactly what games are now outlawed. Therefore I think blatently obvious persuits such as blackjack and slot machines have been removed by land owners, however there is a grey area in allot of peoples eyes with regards Slingo and splodders and similar so I suspect people are watiing for LL to specify exactly what is now illegal. Personally I think it was pretty clear from their policy change that any games/activity that even looks like gambling is now banned so I suspect the remaining games will need to go eventually. Judging by the blog and forum response lots of people arnt sure so I think LL will need to comment or hold a town hall in order drive their point home and make it as black and white as possible so that everyone, including non english speaking players can understand and comply. If you are a gambler then I wouldnt worry about using any existing gambling tools that remain on the grid, it's the owners of the gambling and gaming establishments that need to worry.

Oh give it time, the new rules haven't even been up for twenty four hours, some people probably don't even realise gambling is banned.

There are hundreds of (now) illegal gambling places; there's probably only a couple of Lindens who are given the job of going round deleting them all, so it's going to take a while.

I would love for LL to give a complete and black/white statement on their policies. ANY of them.

I think Phil used to be a used car salesman.

Dude, you are a true and good friend, and I love you like the brother that my mom claims she never had, but you are in fact acting like a flaming douche on white toast with a side order of dickknob salsa..maybe you should reconsider this course of action and we go find something else to do.

I fail to see a gray area other then the ones people are trying to gray. If you can bet Ls, win Ls, and it is a random event it's banned, where is this gray area? lingos and sploders are random events, and no matter how much gray paint you try to put on them they are banned under the new rule.
To me it sounds like kids trying circumnavigate the rules, "I told you not to touch the cookie jar". "but I didn't, I was hearing gloves".

I'll have to find it. But there is some post in a thread about the gambling thing that has somebody whining about how LL's statement was so harsh and should not have been said so suddenly.

It's in the community standards:

Still conflicting information then....
