Anyone have trouble backtracking a blog post ?

Do you copy the link address for the backtrack link or do you click the backtrack link and use the url of the page that results? (They are different.)

I backtracked a blog post yesterday right after the post appeared. Two other folks succeeded, mine did not.

Do some blogs work better than Wordpress.com blogs for backtracking, like is Blogger better at this than Wordpress.com?
