Kim,
It could very well just be today...the log-in queue being backed up....take a look at the blog......I'm gonna guess todays issues have something to do with your not being able to log in more than one at a time.

I think it's more then just a back up?

Thanks Milla, but I think it is more then just a 'back up"?
My computer keeps giving me a message that says 'Second life already running, check task bar, and try shuting down computer if message persists?"
I tried reseting my preferences according to the 'blog support help'. but it doesn't seem to work?
I just need to know if anyone else can 'log on' with an alt avator so I will know if it is my computer or the SL new release???
ANYLONE else having this problem? if not I need to know as well?
Thanks!!! in advance!!

Just checked: worked fine for me. (1.19.1.4, Linux) Think a reboot is in order, based on that error message. And of course the "-multiple" command line flag.

I've noticed it more and more difficult to do, with each client upgrade. Lately, I've only been able to use multiple login if i start them both at the same time - a friend also commented on this a little while back. If I've had the client running for a while, a second login won't work.

edit your shortcut, each time you have a upgrade it resets your shortcut.... add the -multiple Find your shortcut on desktop, right click it and choose properties, find where it says Target: then edit the line to include the -multiple example..... "C:\Program Files (x86)\SecondLife\SecondLife.exe" -multiple -set SystemLanguage en-us

I spent a few hours this afternoon with all four of my accounts logged in at once, from the same computer. No problems at all. Just my experience - yours may differ.

No offense intended to the Original Poster (or others) ...
But at times when log-ins are troublesome, I think people should stick to one AV each out of courtesy. Whether they have One Computer or Five.
And then once log-ins improve they can start logging in their alts and their camp and trafficbots w/e.
-----------------
this is unrealted to the technical aspect of trying to log on multiple AVs. That case was most likely the shortcut needed re-updated.

It's difficult to tell when logins are a problem. I mean if you can login that means logins work right? I've been able to log in two. Doesn't this new upgrade break all bot clients anyways?

I'd noticed this before. My solution was to make separate shortcuts for the multiples. One for each AV, and renamed accordingly. They never get over written.

try starting one viewer and start the next viewer very shortly after the first one.... like as soon as it successfully connects.
