I was looking around on Newb Island, and checked the ban tab...by a few tutorial sections, it lists Jesse Linden as banned and I'm just curious why, lol.

I think it's because two of the letters in his name are two of the letters in the word "sex".

Jesse Linden was considered broadly offensive.

*giggles* Maybe they thought it would look bad if a Linden was using the tutorials and Jesse refused to stop referring back to them?

My guess:
Another Linden has their inventory folders sorted by date, so Jesse was top of their calling card list. That Linden then tried to ban someone by using the person chooser, but didn't click on the name before closing the window, so it picked the first name in their calling card folder; Jesse's.
This is the same reason my friends invite me to their groups twice a week.

Yeah, that sounds feasible. In the case that they ever DID "Ban a Linden" I don't think they would post it in the ban list. In some cases a minor punishment, suspension, or a warning...but I don't think a "public ban" on that Linden would be posted.

They wouldn't get any punishment in world...they'd have a talk with their boss and possibly get written up or fired depending on what happened. It was probably a joke or an experiment as people have suggested.
