I left earlier today, drank a few too many beers, came back and now Second Life crashes (+ obligatory crash message) every time i try to load it to the log in screen. If i attempt to send a crash report, the process freezes on me seperate from the game.

I didn't install any updates or what have you. I tried rebooting, and uninstalling/reinstalling.

Is this a known issue? Are there any fixes thusfar?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling. If that doesn't work, make sure that your video drivers are updated. Failing that, try logging into another region, like Ahern. You can find the way under preferences.

Added: Yeah, this might not help, but they'd recommend it on Help Request, so, I figured I'd save you some headache.

I can't get far enough, unfortunately, to touch my preferences. It tries to load the log in screen but it seems that the page in the background (status page?) is the cause of the crash.

Edit: The problem was the latest update of Xfire. I'll go bug report it over there.
