Why is it that the grid has a major meltdown whenever I have a day off?

Maybe SL noticed that you need to do your laundry?

It is a conspiracy against you! LL sees that you are going to have a day off and the set the database to "meltdown" mode.

You're not related to the guy who thinks that Linden Labs auctioned off three void sims near his 'waterfront' to spite him, are you?

That answers my question. As for my sister, you are more than welcome to her.

Just on the remote chance that your original question wasn't just a cry of deriliction, and that you actually want to consider some possible reasons...

Perhaps a lot of other people get days off the same time you do, and too many of them also try logging into SL. Together, you overwhelm LL's resources.

It's nice for me, being in an odd timezone. I can still log on when there are less than 20k people online! As an added bonus, we get odd holidays here, and when we do share holidays, ours come hours earlier!

I dunno - how do the birds know when I've just washed my car?
