Prim eyelashes & standard lashes intersect - what to do?

Hi,

I bought a set of prim eyelashes (3 prims per eye, the ";(CS) Classic" lashes) and tried to fit them to my eyes using the tips that came with them.

My problem is that, although I set my standard lash size to 0, the stubby lashes that remain on my avatar intersect the prim lashes, giving a very weird look. And unless I position the prim lashes several centimeters in front of my eyes, I see the other lashes.

See for a screenshot of the problem. My skin is a makeup-free one from TaP.

Any suggestions on how to solve this?

Just position them so they don't show as bad. out and down a tad on the top parts.

You will probably have to mod the prims to shape them in ways that better fit your eye shape.

And not all prim lashes are equal. Some are better than others.

Another trick I use is to wear two sets of prim lashes (that look good together). After careful positioning the openGL alpha fight is not as bad.

there is a "you only" fix which involves modifying a .tga file inside your SL installation which completely hides the "shape-lashes".

"you only" because it would only work for you (and anyone who happens to have made the same / a similar modification to the same file)... Anybody else would still see both lashes.

On the other hand, who else besides you would cam in on your face that closely without giving you a valid reason to dent HIS face?

amen to that, my wife got the ones from miamai... every hair is a single sculptie.
looks awesome, takes the average length of two major evolutionary steps to adjust.

Cold- I own The Eyelash! Bar @ Talon Faire- while I cannot fix the left over lash problem, I have been told my lashes are remarkably easy to fit- and they don't generally stick out from the person's eyes. I even have men's lashes and you know they generally are not too patient on this fitting thing ;)

Please drop by and let me lend a hand- drop me an IM in world.
