Classified ad change?

I just logged in and went to check the resolved search system problems, and noticed that the two searches are still disabled. Then I went to double check that my classified ad was still present as I have been doing multiple times a week due to the ads vanishing. My ad did not show up in my first search.

After some experimentation I determined that classified ad searches no longer search the contents of the ad, just the title. The means that all of the keywords in the body of the ad are being ignored. Has anyone else noticed this, and does anyone know if it is an intentional change, or a bug we should be reporting?

I've noticed the same thing on my classified ad. The search is only hitting on the title, not the keywords in the body of the advertisement. Hoping this is only an unintentional and very temporary bug. Also, the Places and Groups searches are still not working.

It has been like this all day and possibly since last night. Classified search only looks at the title and All and Places search are still broken completely.

**edit** sorry. Blog says that places and groups are working again. I haven't been in world yet to check.

Yeah im pissed.

They also effing charged me early for my classified. Which was about $10USD a day, sorry but im not in the game of throwing away $10USD a day. (I feel sorry for anyone who has paid more and had this happen)

As much as i LOVE this world, I HATE the way LL deals with things.

And please dont reply with a "dont like it leave!". Sorry but today, that is so cliche. We ARE infact dealing with RL $$$$$$$$ and they way they hide under a cover of "its just Lindens!!!" is pathetic. I fully understand I could leave, and I would have done so if I wasnt making the profit I am. But the fact people are dishing out money from their RL bank accounts should be something LL takes serious. Whether it is people investing in this game, or consumers.

Aye.. 2 1/2 hours after the post saying ther have been enabled, they still show "Service Unavailable...". And that is after repeated relogs, some unplanned.

Yup. Logged in to check and still completely broken.

You have to put as many keywords as possible into the title, for now anyway.

Not getting any search results for anything and classifieds not showing up in my, or anyone else's profiles. I want to see what dictionary LL uses to define "RESOLVED"

Yeah, just noticed that. Maybe they're fixing them.

It's hard to tell... Our sim just crashed and when I managed to get back all teleports are out, and most scripts are dead now. Linden balance is just showing 'Loading...'

I started playing Eve Online just so I could go blow something up and work out the frustration. Time to go blow up some pirates I guess... <chuckles>

** edit ** Logging out and back in does not help, and I keep re-appearing at the same place no matter where I exit. The same as Friday night. Time for another warning not to do any transactions or rezzing i'd say.

My wife says this happened to her also... I have not checked my ads, or double-checked hers, but I will now. Anyone else notice this?

Yeah. My ad that was there (coming up only with words in the title) is now gone in search and won't show in my profile. It all just keeps "loading." In fact, my profile front page seems to do the same thing.

Who in their right minds would buy anything today anyway. LOL. Maybe they took it offline to fix it. )

Yeah, classified doesn't show in profile either. Guess it's going to be word of mouth from now on! LOL.

I just got back from vacation a couple of days ago. I left knowing some things might change or be wrong when I got back, but I never expected to come back to places being shut down over a new TOS + even though I was CHARGED for my classifieds (early I believe) mine were not even searchable through classified search even on titles. I had to go in and update each one so that it would show up again (didn't have to change anything, the damned things just wouldn't show up!).
Now that I have updated them, they show up but are only searchable through title search. Is this a new way for LL to get us to spend more money? I'd have to spend tons to get all my classified words searched out right now. Even though I am making a nice profit from SL, I'm not ready to throw even more money at LL. Seems to me, the "online now" numbers have really dropped in the past months, really leaving me wondering if it is worth it to put any more money into SL for a while, at least until I can see where this is headed.
Hopefully LL is just having search problems and there was no change to the way classifieds are searched. Does anyone know?

I doubt very much whether this is a deliberate change in policy to mean that only titles are searched rather than the body of the advert but it's a bad error, especially for guys and girls who spend a lot of money on advertising.

Looks like theyve extended the classified expiration dates by 4 days.

I sent in a b!tch-ticket (lol) and that was the response.

Good to see them doing the right thing.

I did not go inworld yet to check if classified are searching keywords now, but I assume they are.
