I visited this sim a long time ago - It was soooo beautiful!

Recently I have been trying to visit again with the wish to show friends, but it repeatedly tells me "Could not teleport" & I never see anyone else's green dots in the sim.

Is there anyone who knows the status of Atlantis and if it has been made private or when it will be available again?

can you find it if you type it in on the map?

I remember that sim and the hard time the person was given on these boards and visited her as well. She was a nice lady and very excited about SL and busy pouring her heart into that sim. I visited it about a month ago it was working.

Yup, I see it just fine on the map - that's how I can tell that no one has been in it when I try to TP there.

I remember Atlantis well. I used to visit the underwater gardens when i was feeling a bit stressed out. Then it dropped off the map for a year before reappearing. I got the same "Could not teleport" and just gave up on it. Looks like Wilhelm got lucky.

If you get "Could not teleport" with the current viewer then it's likely that the sim is access restricted (used to be "You are not allowed into the destination"

.

Not sure why they thought it was a good idea to change the wording of that.

I was assuming that it was restricted, since I never saw anyone else in it either.

Maybe this thread can be a plee to the maker to open this beautiful sim back up!

anyhow that one is working cause i am standing at the telehub right now

There have been a couple of Atlantises over the years. I always thought the first sim Atlantis (that I remember) went belly-up ages ago. That was the underwater one with -- hey! Idea! Go and look on Snapzilla!

The original Atlantis sim is still very much there. You can even see the 4 underwater garden domes. Impossible to get into it tho

Atlantis

I'm a mermaid most of the time in SL and I've been trying to get into the restricted SIM Atlantis for months because I'm so intrigued by it. (Just to clarify, it's not Atlantis Island or Candy Land, which is beautiful and getting a name change to Atlantis at some point from what I understand. The Atlantis Sim is entirely underwater and can be seen on the map but not from ground level when standing on the corner of it's neighboring sim, SilverIsland by the race track.)

It's become a pet project of mine ... to try to track down the owners and find out more about it and even visit it hopefully. If anyone has any info on what's going on with Atlantis, I sure would appreciate hearing about it or getting a lead on who to contact.

Nope.... none that I could click on. Also, with the help of a flight assist, I tried to fly over the restricted area but no matter how high I went, the restriction held.
