I guess the title is self explanatory, and probably asked by a different newbie every week. It just seems like a lot of pretty much useless stuff.

Not sure if this what is being asked you can delete items in inventory or send items that you own or others where they have tranfer permissions.
Is that the same thing? Liabary though isn't that items that are set by Second Life that are required to be there for whatever reason? |

I know you can Copy, and paste items from the Library into the Inventory, but as for actually deleting them, I have never tried.

The items in the "Library" are not really part of your inventory, but are a set of basic items designed to cover some of the most basic and first used funtions of the SL world - some of what is there might seem useless to you, but some of the things you HAVE found useful might be useless to someone else.
You yourself might find a new idea or avenue to follow, and something there now which you think is useless might actually come in handy, and since everything in there can be modified and copy, every single item in there can be used as a tool to strat your own creation. My first thought when reading the OP was that there really shoud be some method to suggest items to be ADDED to the library. |

There's a list of command line parameters at http://rpgstats.com/wiki/index.php?title=Newview .
Among these is -noinvlib , which makes the library not load. To use this option, add -noinvlib to the target field of the shortcut used to start SL with, as in: "C:\Program Files\SecondLife\secondlife.exe" -noinvlib _____________________

A lot of weird stuff in that library folder. I just found a new set of goth avatars in there. There's also lots of useful textures for building things. Can't see why you'd want to remove it because it's just a single folder that's barely noticeable in your inventory.

You can't remove individual items from the Library section of inventory, no. It's a shared resource, and only LL can add or remove things in that category. As a previous poster mentioned, there is a way to hide the whole library. But that is it.
You can, of course, take copies of anything in the Library to use. Just rez it in-world and take it back to have one in your own inventory, or copy from a Library folder to a local one. Incidentally, you don't need to copy Library textures to use them. Just use them from the Library directly. _____________________
Sorry, LL won't let me tell you where I sell my textures and where I offer my services as a sim builder. Ask me in-world.
