I just rez’ed my AO on the ground to edit the poses and etc. and when I tried to take it, it would not go into my inventory, not matter what I tried to do, it would just stay on the ground. I did NOT try deleting it, it was stuck, so I though reloging would bring it back into my inventory, but when I reloged it was gone and nothing in my inventory... I did an inventory search, nothing... Its gone, I just lost over 2000L Worth of animations and poses.... Dose anyone out there know anything I can do to make my AO come back???

Please Help! Thank you.

Were you on your own land? If so you can return all you ritems and you may get it back that way. If you were on someone elses land they can auto return them to you.

It's probably gone. I had this happen with a couple of thankfully inexpensive no mod items over the past couple of days and, while I did locate them at 0,0,0, they were unlinked and no longer functional when I finally managed to pick them up. The creator was nice enough to replace them for me, though. :)

The blog claims that LL fixed the issue yesterday evening, but it seems like it's still ongoing, perhaps to a lesser degree. And, of course, with the Support Portal down, no one can let them know that the fix hasn't completely corrected things.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

What do they expect us to do?

This is real money here... If I wanted to Kiss over 8 bucks good bye atleast I would have bought a new crazy ribbon toy for me cat. o.0

Ann you said you found it at 0, 0, 0 right? was that in the sim you were at?

I want to see if my AO is at 0, 0, 0 If i can pick it up, maybe I can atleast show the creators it dose not work... better then losing them...

Unfortunately, this is a known and major issue. You can see it on the JIRA as svc-242.

It also leaves a mis-count of prims on the land in question. I am having to restart my sandbox sim 2-3 times daily to clear prims that aren't there but still show in land counts. Some are invisble (don't show with highlight invisible prims) but solid so you can't move through them. Mainland sim restarts must be requested via the currently down support portal or via phone support.

The other side where the objects also don't reappear in inventory on 'take' only makes the situation grievously worse.

I have spoken directly with concierge Lindens and this is something they are very aware of and are working on. I hope they find the issue soon, it is maddening.

I understand that with something as advanced as SL that lets every one do just about everything in a real time, gaming like engine, there is going to be some bugs, But for cases like this they should offer some sort of refund… even it its only 50%........ I mean we are spending real money here… and its not OUR fault there is a problem with a ghost prim bug….

Sl can track everything you do to the exact second you do it, so they should be able to see that you dragged a item out, then it disappeared…. They CAN do SOMETHING about it…. But they closed our only rescores to voice your concerns to them….

Perfect timing SL…….

Returning items from your land is not going to help.

Basically Linden's developers are too incompetent to grock the database concept of an atomic transaction. So if you attempt to "take" an item from land into inventory, and the operation fails due to problems with the asset servers, the item is left in an invalid "ghosted" state from which it can never be recovered.

If they had taken computer science classes in college, they would have realized that a failure of the return-to-inventory transaction should leave the object unchanged in its original state. That's an atomic transaction -- all or nothing. But the Lindens apparently majored in journalism or ceramics.

So yes, you're screwed. My advice is to not rez non-copy objects while the current issues are ongoing. Certainly if you rez them don't take them back into inventory. Better yet, don't buy non-copy objects.

Lindens need to at least update the blog

The latest blog update on this was over 16 hours ago, and it implies that the situation had improved. Reading it, you'd think that by now the problem would have been completely corrected.

They need to update the blog to alert residents that the issue is continuing to cause significant problems. I'd like to see in-world announcements. The Linden reaction on this is disappointing.
