Please read this - I really need the help.

I just bought what seems like an excellent vendor package. But I can't say for sure because I can't get to work lol. The vendor does not store anything in the vendor. You keep the items in your inventory. This works using a notecard with directions for the vendor to look up the item when someone clicks on that item. In order to do this a product card is created listing the uuid of the product. The vendor guide says to copy asset uuid of the item and then paste it in the notecard. I have never used the uuid and cannot get it to copy and paste to a notecard. Can anyone please enlighten me.

if you could be specific about the make of the vendor, you might find people who have experience with it. I don't think naming it will offend anyone's sensibilities - it's not like you're trying to slam the maker or anything.

Keep in mind that asset related activities are loopy right now, so your vendor system may not be working as expected for that reason.

To get a UUID, right-click the item in your inventory. The menu that pops up has the option "copy asset UUID". Select that, then go to your notecard and use ctrl-v or the menu option "paste" to paste it. Of course, you must have transfer permissions on the object in order to get its UUID.

There are also scripted methods of retrieving UUIDs, but the above method is still the fastest and easiest.

Thanks Maya, I own the object (textures) so I should have full rights. I created them.
When I right click on them I get the popup menu that you refer to but the paste part of the popup does not highlight. I will go and check the permissions to see whats up with that.
