Is there a help file somewhere that explains what is allowed to be built on PG land vs Mature land? Is the rating only for building type or does it cover other things too? Thanks.

stuff like nude avatars, cybering, and very sexual-like stuff is against the rules...

It covers everything. PG land is meant to be nudity, profanity, sexual activity free, just like a PG film. In mature land you're meant to be not too blatant in public - pictures of sexually explicit acts pasted on your walls as a picture are out for example - but do what you like in private.
The TOS applies over this... no hate language anywhere for example. There's also things like pictures of paedophilia which are illegal IRL and so illegal in SL too, anywhere in SL.

Can you clarify what is meant by private/public here? I have a picture on my upstairs bedroom wall (in a mature sim) that someone might find overly risque, but you won't see it unless you look in the windows or come into the house.

Unfortunatley, there is not "private" space in SL unless you won enough land (or an island) to keep eveyone off. New camera properties allow someone to move thier camera view across a sim. For the above example, however, I would say you are safe. A Mature sim and inside a building. I have several of such and have never had an issue. Keep in mind I am NOT a LL employee and am not privy to all tier policies. I follow the Big 6 rules and common sense. ^.~ ~Jessy
