Here's an unsolicited answer to a question which has become more common in the last week: why isn't this texture rezzing? A (small?) number of textures have gone missing from the asset servers recently, breaking existing content all over the grid. This included some textures from the library (I believe those have since been restored). In newer clients, the textures show just as matte gray "unrezzed" textures; in older clients they show the classic "Missing Image" texture. PLEASE VOTE for this critical issue, SVC-3063 "Textures show "MISSING IMAGE" https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-3063If you've never voted for a Jira issue, it's easier than it looks, simple instructions here: /327/4a/234101/1.html#post1826980Note that not every unrezzed texture is due to this bug! Those who know how, may want to watch the texture console to verify that all textures have loaded before suspecting this bug is the issue. There are other ways to verify that the asset is actually gone ... if you are not sure, do not assume this is the problem with something you are seeing. But in any case, it is a real problem, so do vote! p.s. I already posted this info in a thread, but thought it deserved a thread of its own. .

Voted. This happened to me last weekend; a chest of drawers looked great, except for the feet on piece of furniture. The creator checked and the texture was missing from the ones in her store, but not from the one in her inventory. Weird.

This is part of a growing problem of assets disappearing from the asset servers. Not only textures but scripts and many other things are disappearing. Sometimes the asset may be usable in one sim and not in others, this is probably due to a lack of sync between teh asset servers, the asset is available on one but not another. This my also be behind ht total loss of some assets, it goes missing on one server and instead of it being put back during a sync it is removed from the others.
YMMV

From: Rhaorth Antonelli voted, even though it looks as though they are doing what they can to restore them Yup. As a fairly prolific creator, tho, you may want to spot check some of your own older, more popular items, Rha. Clear your cache first. As you saw on the bug comments, LL is acting to restore textures that have gone missing, so if you find them before your customers do, you'll be ahead I found it odd that, among the very few rezzed items owned by my two active avatars, there were two missing textures. I'd be surprised if they have more than 1000 rezzed prims between them, not counting attachments. Seemed like an awfully high percentage of failure. .

Most of my creators though are clothing, so checking those will be a pain. hopefully if customers have a problem they will contact me weird I noticed the grass texture not working for me last week, but chalked it up to lag heh

Voted. From: Brenda Connolly I live in New Jersey...can someone just go and vote for me? That's how we usually do it. Some people in Louisiana vote several times in each election. It's kinda like having alts in RL.
