Has anyone else noticed on the homepage that the number of US$ spent in the past 24hours is up by about half a million? That's despite many business owners reporting low sales, residents either having serious issues or being locked out all together etc.

Seems a little dodgy to me,
Vale

Residents having serious issues and being locked out? What's new there? ;)

Most of the business owners who are reporting low sales are attributing the dip to the mature search filter being reset during the new client installation.

However, if you lose a sale because somebody didn't find your store in search, it just means the sale was lost to *you*, and not to the SL economy as a whole. Most likely, your potential customer will have just gone and spent their money at a rival instead. If somebody was shopping for shoes, they'd still find shoes... just not _your_ shoes.

So yeah, I can believe the turnover figure... and I can also believe that M-parcel owners who rely primarily on classified/find places advertising are hurting. But the money is still flowing... it's just flowing to a different set of store owners than usual.
